The Original Philly's Famous Cheesesteaks Company was established in 1990 in Clearwater, Florida.

In 1988 Paul, age 23, came to Clearwater for the Phillies Spring Training. He realized no place made anything close to an authentic Philly Cheesesteak.

What he found was a steak n cheese, hot roast beef on big hot dog buns (Hardly a Philly Cheesesteak!)

He thought, HOW COULD A CITY THAT HOST THE PHILLIES NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE A CHEESESTEAK?

In 1990, he left Philly to open the first restaurant in Florida to serve a REAL Cheesesteak.

No one could make a roll that tasted anything like the Amoroso rolls from Philly. So Paul convinced a food supplier to bring in Amoroso rolls from Philadelphia. The first person in Florida to do such a thing!

Over 35 years later, Philly's still has what people say is the best cheesesteak outside of Philly. Many restaurants have tried to duplicate Philly's success, but very few have. We believe it is the ultimate compliment that so many people want to be like Philly's.

I got a ham and grilled cheese; it was awesome! The ham is also grilled which is nice! My partner got a Philly wrap and it was delicious! The small fries was quite big and very crispy.
